To become a Learning Centre tutor, individuals will need to be trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach. This training consists of classroom tutorials, course work and practicum observations. The training is provided at no cost to the individual.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred;
  • Fluency in the English language;
  • Experience working with children; and
  • All volunteer tutors are interviewed personal by the Director before acceptance

  • Student teacher;
  • Teachers;
  • Teacher assistants;
  • Retired professionals; and
  • Parent
